Hello everyone! Phonics is the topic for today! Now, if you use, or have been using our curriculum notebooks, especially the Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade notebooks, you will see that we teach our children to read by 1st, learning the alphabet sounds A-Z. We take one letter to focus on each week, and continue this from A-Z. Once our little one has mastered the alphabet sounds, we move onto sounding out simple words, B-A-T, C-A-T, R-U-N. We introduce sight words, as well as blends AND reading websites. Now, we totally understand that what works for us, may not work for you. Each child learns at their own pace, and with their own style...so...with that in mind, today I would like to share some fun, free, phonics sites that you may like to check out if you feel your little one may need more phonics in their curriculum, or even a change of a phonics curriculum. We hope that you enjoy these great resources, and as always, happy learning!! If you have any further thoughts and/or questions please feel free to share!
