Hi! Browsing the internet this morning I came across a Kindergarten math curriculum/book, with beautiful full colored, illustrated pages. It is a rather large book, which is great because of all the extra practice and choices for worksheets. Now, as you know, we generally like to keep up with things wearing a "free" price tag. But, this is a great deal. The book is only $28! Now, that's pretty awesome for a full year Kindergarten math curriculum! If you are interested in checking it out, here is the link! http://www.schoolsparks.com/store
We have decided against personally using the unit studies as our core curriculum for 3rd grade. Instead we will use them on an "as needed" basis to enhance the study of a particular topic/subject we are studying. Instead, we have created a page dedicated to Unit Studies for your enjoyment! Check it out!
Hello 2014! Hope this post finds you enjoying the 1st few days of the new year!
It seems like forever since an update has been made so here we go...
First of all, our family personally uses this site on a daily basis. We use the grades pre-K,K,and 2nd grade. As we go through each day,our eyes, and ears are open to errors, links that no longer work, spelling errors etc. We do our best to change the errors and correct them ASAP. Please continue to let us know if you come across any error that we have missed and we will correct it as soon as we know about it.
We have really been enjoying using this curriculum, and...yes, along the way there have been MANY changes...but THANK YOU so much for being patient and understanding with us. This curriculum really has seemed to smooth out lately, and our groove really has been found. We found what we like, what we don't, what could be improved, and what flat out just doesn't work. To say the least, we are very happy with where the curriculum stands. As of today, 3rd grade is in the works, and you will find it to be a very different year. The 3rd grade year will begin a year of fun, exciting unit studies. You will have the freedom to dive into the suggested topics for as long or as short of time as you would like...the unit studies give you more freedom to use you imagination and explore interests. Like the previous grades in this curriculum, you will find the printables, videos, etc. listed....there is one tool that could come in handy for the 3rd grade year, and that would be a public library card. If you don't have one or are unable to get one, that's not a problem, because all the unit studies can be easily be completed with the resources we list. We really hope you enjoy the 3rd grade year, and the progress we are making with it....as well as enjoying all the grades that lead up to 3rd grade. Thank you for being so supportive of this journey!!! Please don't hesitate to contact us if need be, and tell your friends to join us!! The more, the merrier! Happy Learning!!
